Kat Garbutt lives and works on the South London-Surrey border, in the UK. She has over a decade of experience marketing brands to their customers.
In 2020, amid a global pandemic, Kat founded Big Butterfly marketing agency.

She managed multiple brands, two juniors in daily marketing implementation, campaign and content strategy and planning, board level reporting, long and short form copywriting/editing, providing marketing qualified leads through engaging content which was publicised through social and email campaigns, marketing literature/materials for group brands (with differing audiences, brand styles and voices), online/offline events marketing and delivery, and website design development and management.

2013
A PR and Social Media internship at the award-winning online marketplace, notonthehighstreet.com. Kat co-ordinated coverage from a wide range of journalists. Featuring in 361 articles (with a combined circulation of 137.5 m) in the first two months of interning. Wrote social media and blog posts. Researched emerging social platforms. Used Google and Facebook analytics. Produced a detailed daily content plan for the social media platforms.
Events and Marketing – Central London Venue
2009-2011
Events and Marketing at St Andrew Holborn Conference and Events Venue.
End-to-end event management for a central London venue. I managed up to six simultaneous bookings, of up to 200 delegates each. I produced direct marketing campaigns and open house events designed to create awareness, improve occupancy rates and repeat bookings.
